Lodging located near Beautiful Multnomah Falls

Just minutes away from the Bonneville Hot Springs Resort you can visit Multnomah Falls. The majestic waterfall is the second highest year-round waterfall in the nation at a breathtaking height of 620 feet. The grand spectacle of the icy plume of water plummeting down from Larch Mountain is so incredible to behold that Multnomah Falls is Oregon’s most popular tourist destination.

Multnomah Falls is one of the best places in the Columbia River Gorge to take a hike. There is a 1.2 mile trail which climbs to the top of the falls and provides a gorgeous vista of the Columbia River Gorge and the falls. Those more adventurous can continue on for six miles on the Wahkeena loop Trail or head to the top of Larch Mountain.

Multnomah Falls is easily accessible by car and the falls are a quick 5 minute stroll from the parking lot. Take advantage of the amazing view from the Benson Bridge located a few hundred feet further down the trail. On very rare occasions in cold winter weather the falls transform into a stupendous ice sculpture with just a trickle of icy water dripping from the bottom.

Multnomah Falls is open year round and the park is free of charge for all visitors. The Forest Service information Center is open from all days 9am to 5pm and the free trail maps are available.
